Using our success to help sustain music education programs

On March 30th, we celebrated our upcoming album "Perfect Strangers" at Angelicas with a full house! The staff had to bring in a few extra tables to seat our 90 or so guests. The sound engineer did a magnificent job setting up our monitors just right. The audience joined us on our journey from uptempo and jazzy to intimate ballads, to soaring rock choruses. After the show, everybody had their own favorite moment. It was a magical night for us and everybody in the room. The venue manager was ecstatic about the turnout and the music and promptly invited us back. Everybody left a little happier than when they came in. We rounded up our proceeds and donated $1000 for the Redwood City Education Foundation.

On March 31st, our album officially launched on all platforms, including iTunes and Spotify. Unbeknownst to us, a curator at iTunes liked our music and featured it in the Jazz > New Music category and we peaked at #22 on that chart's best seller list on our first day! We were a bit stunned to see this happen and we wanted to use this opportunity to further shine a light on music education and the programs that support them. That is why we pledged to donate all our net proceeds from iTunes sales between March 31 and April 7 to a music education program. On April 6, we peaked at #10 thanks to you and other awesome people like you! We're still not sure how many albums that actually translates to, but we're forever grateful. Thank you.

Perfect Strangers peaked at #10 on the iTunes Best-Sellers list for the new releases in jazz category!
