Tonight we are kicking off the first interviews of #BayAreaMusician season 2 with #WillAckerman, of #WindhamHill fame. Will’s guitar playing style pretty much launched a whole new genre and he soon found himself running his own label. Windham Hill was based in Palo Alto and was home to several household names in New Age and Jazz genres including Alex Degrassi, Michael Hedges, Tuck & Patty. The #bayareamusicscene was hopping. After selling Windham Hill, Will moved to Vermont to create his new label: Imaginary Road. He still produces about 16 projects a year in addition to running his farm. One of the artists he has worked with regularly is Jeff Oster, who will also be featured today.
