I recorded this a few days after hearing that Chester Bennington committed suicide. Linkin Park was one of my favorite bands during my teenage years. Chester Bennington was one of those versatile vocalists who could be screaming his head off in one moment and completely gentle and vulnerable the next. He brought solace and hope to many. Wish it didn’t have to end this way.

Tonight we are kicking off the first interviews of #BayAreaMusician season 2 with #WillAckerman, of #WindhamHill fame. Will’s guitar playing style pretty much launched a whole new genre and he soon found himself running his own label. Windham Hill was based in Palo Alto and was home to several household names in New Age and Jazz genres including Alex Degrassi, Michael Hedges, Tuck & Patty. The #bayareamusicscene was hopping. After selling Windham Hill, Will moved to Vermont to create his new label…
